CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS: LEADING FOR CHANGE
The executive program focused on Values and Leadership, specifically around creating creating norms, setting expectations and being an example through behavior. Sessions focused on practical and values-based leadership tenets.
Kellogg students take a demanding core curriculum that emphasizes the development of durable analytical skills across disciplines. Through focused first- and second-year pre-term classes, all students develop rigorous approaches to leadership challenges.
DOMAINS OF LEADERSHIP
Participants focused on understanding and developing the three domains of leadership: personal, relational, and contextual. Sessions also focused on leader-resilience, learning from experience, and the importance of being reflective.
LEADERSHIP IN ACTION
Program participants learned that effective leaders must have vision and communicate well. Specifically, leaders must pay attention to the task and also pay attention to the people. The most effective leaders are facilitators, because no one can do everything.
