CHICAGO PRINCIPAL FELLOWS

The purpose of the fellowship is to provide a safe space to share best practices, provide a forum where individual principals can introduce their work-plans or ideas to Fellows, spark innovation, and develop a more global view of school district leadership.

THE LEADER AS COACH

Sessions focused on effective coaching as being productive partnerships for better thinking, action, accountability, and results. Participants learned that the aim of coaching is to increase self-efficacy of those under your leadership. 

LEADERSHIP IN 5G: GENERATIONAL DIFFERENCES

Participants learned how generational differences impact the workplace, and explored ways to leverage those differences to affect organizational growth and innovation. Sessions focused on the importance of collaboration, diversity, and inclusive practices.

UNDERSTANDING & BUILDING SCHOOL CULTURE

Leaders learned to develop a deeper understanding of their school's culture using Schein's model, and how to leverage the model and other tools to shape culture. Sessions focused on what norms were positively and negatively impacting the organization's culture.
